After our last meeting, I stopped by the grocery store for some salad fix’ns. With the feedback and suggestions spinning in my head. I took the opportunity to take some pix. One of the points brought up, was how often we see bottles on shelves. And the other was to use colored water. And the gatorade section offers up a world of possibilites.

As of this monday feb 25th. I have roughly 820 bottles. One more trip to NYU recycling should meet my 1000 goal. Amanda is kindly bring 30 some bottle thursday from her work. And through freecycle a woman has 30 some bottles.
    See all pix on flickr.

hey, if anyone comes across any picture frames, either silverish or dark wood (8″ x 10″ or smaller) id appreciate it if youd pick one up for me. i need two more — kinda grandma lookin (can be in bad shape – actually id probably like them more if they are a little beat up) but not gaudy.

also, i am still looking for a table. medium-sized rectangular or oval would probably be best.

    thanks ladies!

lemons are about 28-38 dollars a case.

Ben said that he could maybe able to get them at $28. ( a case has about 40 lemons)

Also I hope to post to you tonight the receipe for Lemoncello by tonight….as you would have to get that started this week to have it ready for the opening.

Also I ws goingto ask you if maybe you would like Ben to make the Lemoncello and then you could just pay for the ingredients (basically the lemons and the everclear) I can find out how much that would all come out to if you are intrested.

Sorry I didnt get this info to you sooner.

I am also going to try to hit up the Thrift store tomorrow or Friday…If I find anything awesome I will send you images :)

Wonder Women is a residency program in its third year presented by _gaia at their studio in Hoboken, NJ. The Wonder Women mission is to engage practicing, yet underrepresented artists who are eager to participate in a collective dialogue about the art world and feminism today.

    2008
This year the Wonder Women project is being organized and curated by Doris Caçoilo and Joanna Rose White. It is called WWIII.

“What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy?” —– Mahatma Gandhi

Are we in the throes of a third world war? What would another world war look like? How would an escalation in the current War on Terror affect our lives and those of the people of this planet? What changes would it create for the globe and our place in it? What, if anything have we learned from our violent histories? How can we reflect our fears, concerns and protests through our artwork and activism?

Wonder Women invites artists to participate in a residency program to engage in discussion about their work, the cultural climate, the history of art, war, feminism, and social change. We are interested in creating a dialogue and artwork that explores the issues of war and protest in the modern age. Weekly discussions will address issues related to feminism, gender, war, and protest as they relate to art practice. Each participant is encouraged to bring as much as possible to the group, including readings, artist heroes, activist heroes, feminist heroes, ideas, etc.

I had an intense couple of weeks. Not much sleep.

    Posters I like:

A page with a BUNCH of awesome posters

    Stencils I like:
    Revolt with a Vote
    Obama Meets America

    Funny video:
    Obama talking about poster design

I think I’m going to use my box from the iMac I just bought for the ballot box. I created a design for the box to cover the apple design. I like the idea of using a mac box since Bruce Willis’s co-star in the last movie is the “Mac” from the Mac/PC ads.
