Yesenia Beutel.
Co-Assistant Organizer & Co-Director. Being involved in V-DAY has been one of the most empowering and stimulating experiences of her life. This experience has helped her form a strong, determined and undefeatable armor to fight violence every day….violence in words spoken to her and actions taken against her, as a woman.

Yesenia graduated from Rutger’s University, where she majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology.  She currently works as a Care Manager for Coordinated Family Care, assisting children with severe behavioral, mental and emotional needs and their families in obtaining the services and supports they need where and when they need it by being strength based, “thinking outside the box”, keeping the child in his/her community and being family oriented.
She has written, directed and choreographed Voices from the Past, Mascara Stained Tears and When Angels Cry.  Acting credits include La Cegua in Leyendas for the Spotlight on Halloween Festival, Lysistrata, a reading directed for the world-wide theatrical anti war movement Lysistrata Project, Silhouette, Path of Excess, and Black Elk Speaks. Recently, Yesenia directed a reading of Judy Klass’ Missionaries for the Nine Muses quarterly reading.
